Delivering the Message: Issues Important to Washington’s Lodging Industry
Over 25 WLA lodging and allied members and WLA's lobbyist delivered the lodging industry’s message on legislative issues to candidates who ran for state office in the August 17 Primary Election. Members presented this issues paper and a campaign contribution from the Washington Lodging Association’s Political Action Committee (WLA-PAC) to 42 individual candidates.
WLA-PAC is pleased that all of the supported candidates in the primary election on Tuesday, August 17 have moved onto the general election in November. WLA-PAC also supported two key initiatives that will be on the November ballot: I-1082 (Save our Jobs WA: Workers' Comp Reform) and I-1053 (Save the 2/3s' Vote For Tax Increases).
If you would like to get involved in WLA’s PAC or Governmental Affairs Committees, want details on the candidates supported, or need guidance on getting involved in the elections in your district, contact WLA.
